ADESA Europe names Guy Van Houtte as ICT Director
ADESA Europe announces Guy Van Houtte will lead its Information Technology team as information and communication technology (ICT) director. Van Houtte brings decades of experience to the role and will help further focus on further developing a seamless digital solution for its remarketing customers across Europe. Van Houtte will report to Johan Meyssen, CEO of ADESA Europe, and will be a member of the company’s management team.
Johan Meyssen said: “Given our intense digital roadmap and the development of new industry-leading products and online remarketing solutions, we are delighted to welcome Guy Van Houtte to the management team. With his 30 years of experience in ICT, he will bring us his broad experience in software projects, a strong knowledge of new technologies, a very good knowledge of platforms next to his experience in IT strategy and governance.”
As ICT director, Van Houtte will assume Wim Deboel’s responsibilities, who will now take on a more technical-aligned role as technology and solutions architect. Deboel will contribute to the international markets’ technology architecture roadmap as well as IT infrastructure and operations for ADESA Europe’s parent company, KAR Global.
Meyssen added: “His rich industry background and breadth of experience will make a substantial, positive impact on our business.”
Van Houtte joins ADESA Europe from the international human resources solutions company SD Worx where he served as CIO Office Manager and Vice CIO since May 2017. Prior to SD Worx, Van Houtte served in various ICT leadership positions in banking, insurance, healthcare, government and R&D.
