Insurance Auto Auctions Launches CarKeyword App for Apple iPhone
– Free, Easy-to-Use App Tracks Automotive Metrics and Keyword Search Trend Data –
– Allows Multilingual Customers to Make Smart Decisions in Auction Process –

Westchester, Ill. — Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA), the leading live and live-online salvage auto auction company and wholly-owned subsidiary of KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR), today announced that it has launched the CarKeyword App for Apple iPhone, which can be downloaded free of charge through the Apple App Store, beginning today. CarKeyword includes search data features to track key words and help customers make smart buy-or-sell decisions through the convenience of their mobile devices. Optimized for iPhone 5, CarKeyword is the first App of its kind to be offered in Polish, Spanish, Arabic and English.

IAA designed the CarKeyword App to help customers anticipate increases in auction prices and make more informed buy-or-sell decisions by using keyword search terms to track automotive trends. Information is localized for users, displaying language and reading orientation that matches the user’s iPhone language settings. For example, last week the top key word in the United States was “BMW” but “Honda Civic” moved up to #3 and has been trending up for 4 weeks. The CarKeyword App tracks keywords based on a number of variables, and displays them for users in an easy to use, easy to access format. Some of the additional specialized capabilities and features of the App include:

“We continue to expand in geographic markets and enhance our abilities to meet our customers’ growing needs, and our new App allows multilingual users to make informed and knowledgeable decisions in the auction buyer/seller process,” said Tom O’Brien, chief executive officer at Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. “We are pleased to be offering the first App of its kind in the U.S., United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Poland. CarKeyword is the next step in offering a best in class buyer/seller experience — users are able to access a robust database of used car trends for market that allows them to stay ahead.”

CarKeyword is the latest in a number of Apps from IAA. In February, IAA launched I-Pay through its IAA Buyer App for Apple, which was the first to introduce payment services for salvage buyers via an App in the industry. IAA also recently expanded — and iPhone5 optimized — its Mugshots Parking Lots App, which provides users with photographs of cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs for every year, make, model, and series.

IAA service representatives are available to assist users with the App as well as website-related activity and all aspects of the registration and buying process. To contact a representative, please call (Toll Free) -877-937-4243 or (Toll Call) 708-492-7080.
