Life at OPENLANE: Q&A with Linda Lane, Relationship Manager, AFC

Linda Lane has been at AFC for 20 years and is currently a Relationship Manager at the Syracuse branch. Read more about her journey at AFC in the Q&A below.

What has your journey at AFC looked like?

I started back in 2001, and I don’t recall having a specific job title to begin. We all shared the branch tasks; however, that all changed before the close of my first year. I went to corporate for training and returned as a DAR – or Dealer Admin Rep. I later was our DSR, Office Supervisor, Assistant Branch Manager – and promoted to Branch Manager in May of 2019.

What is something you are most proud of during your time with AFC?

Watching the Syracuse branch grow and change the way it has over the last two decades has been incredible. There are so many awesome people along the way that made that happen – and we’re not stopping now!

What do you like the most about working at AFC?

First and foremost, it’s always been the people. We have such amazing folks here in Syracuse – and so many more across the company! I have also always loved that there is no monotony at AFC. Our days are full – and no two days are the same!

What’s a piece of advice for newcomers to the company?

There is so much to learn and take in that things can get overwhelming. Listen to advice and lean on those around you when you need to! There are so many people across the company always ready and willing to help.
